Revised Pay Scales for Governmant Employees (Sixth Pay Commission)

Sixth Central Pay commission recommendation has been notified by the government on 29th Aug 2008. With this, the wait of Central Govt. employees is over. The final notification can be downloaded here:

In this notification, the post of teachers has been upgraded. The new grades for the post of teachers is as under:
Primary Teacher (PRT):
Previous Scale: 4500-7000 Upgraded to 6500-10500
New Applicable Scale : PB2 (9300-34800)
Grade Pay : 4200
Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT):
Previous Scale: 5500-9000 Upgraded to 7450-11500
New Applicable Scale : PB2 (9300-34800)
Grade Pay : 4600
Post Graduate Teacher (PGT):
Previous Scale: 6500-10500 Upgraded to 7500-12000
New Applicable Scale : PB2 (9300-34800)
Grade Pay : 4800
Note: These are the entry level scales for teachers. For further progressive grades, refer to the page No. 18 of gazette notification.
