CBSE has stopped the entry of students into X class board who have not registered in class IX.
For this, CBSE has issued a letter to All the Heads of the Institutions, Affiliated with CBSE to ensure that their students have been registered with cbse in class IX.
The main part of the letter issued by Mr. M.C. Sharma, Controller of Examinations, CBSE is as below:
As you are aware, the system of Registration of students in Class IX was introduced long back to ensure that only regular genuine students of a school are allowed to appear for Board’s Examinations. The Registration Cards for the students of the schools who are to appear at the Secondary School Examinations, 2008 must have been received by you from the Regional Offices of the Board concerned. On your part, you may also have distributed the same to the students after completing necessary formalities. It is understood that some schools do not send registration forms due to one reason or the other.
In order to ensure that every student fills in the registration form and is issued registration card, it has been decided that student who have not filled in the registration form and who have not yet been registered with the Board would not be allowed to appear at the Secondary School Examinations, 2008. I am, therefore, writing this to ensure that registration cards in respect of all the candidates appearing for Secondary School Examinations, 2008 have been issued to all your bonafide students.
Registration forms for the Secondary School Examinations, 2009 have already been sent to all the schools by the respective Regional Offices. For every candidate, a separate form is to be filled. You are requested to ensure that every candidate who is presently in Class IX (Session 2007-2008) fills in the registration form and the same is sent to the Regional Officer concerned along with the requisite fee by the stipulated date for issue of registration card to avoid last minute hardship. It is again being reiterated that in no case, the students will be allowed to appear in the Board’s Class X examination without valid registration card. In case of any admission in Class X also for valid reasons, the school must ensure that the concerned student has the valid registration card from the previous school.
All schools are advised to abide by the above decision meticulously.
