The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM-A) on Sunday launched a new Post-graduate programme in Public Management and Policy (PGP-PMP) for mid-career managers, administrators and professionals. The course fee is about Rs 9 lakh.
"With the launch of this one-year full time course, IIM-A has become the only institute to have full protfolio of programmes in the field of management," Director of the institute Bakul Dholakia said while addressing the first batch of 33 students of the PGP-PMP here.
The annual fee of Rs nine lakh also includes the cost of international exchange programme, said Professor Sebastian Morris, the chairperson for the PGP-PMP programme. "For civil servant candidates, sponsored by the Government of India, the fees would be Rs 7.5 lakh," Morris said.
"Candidates from public sector, state and central governments, public enterprises and NGOs form the first batch of PGP-PMP," he added. Candidates from organisations like Tata Steel, Indian Railways, IAF, Indian Army, ONGC, SBI, Income Tax and others constitute the inaugural batch of the programme.
The PGP-PMP is a course for all those mid-career managers, administrators and professionals of NGOs who desire to take on senior management positions in public management and policy. This programme is open to all nationalities.
